"Sprayology" brings forth a New, Natural Healing!

Article by: Tiffany Kirkland

Looking for a natural and simple way to ease the pain and issues associated with allergies or even to increase your energy? It’s as fast and easy as a few tiny sprits of a special liquid solution.

Sprayology is the newest method being implemented to improve and promote natural healing while achieving an overall sense of well being. According to information provided by the product manufacturer, Sprayology Inc., the goal of Sprayology is to “simply help individuals feel better naturally by providing quality, effective and easy to use wellness products.”

You may be wondering, how can a bottle of spray make me feel better? The answer lies within the ingredients. This technology combines both current science and historic remedies used in natural medicine to ultimately create a natural healing process. The original method, Homeopathym was originated almost 200 years ago and is a system widely used around the world. However, physicians began to research this concept and wanted to steer the idea in a more modern direction. Thus, they creation of the term Sprayology was founded by Doctors Patti Connell and Ellie Whalen, who felt the immediate need to create a product that meets society’s modern health issues while still encouraging a more natural, and healthy lifestyle.

There are various sprays on the market for a number of ailments. For example, if you are lacking sufficient body energy, have a small vitamin intake, or are just too busy to take vitamins, a simple spray of the Vitamin labeled Spray immediately replenishes your body with which ever vitamins you wish to receive without having to swallow a pill.

These spray remedies can be found and purchased easily online. Sprayology.com provides a surplus of Sprayology products and different types of remedies depending on your symptoms. They are a presented at a reasonable price point, as most products are under $50.

Currently there are sprays for a variety of symptoms. These include, body aches, acne, allergies, anxiety, weak and brittle nails, cold symptoms, congestion, dull and dry hair, fatigue and even hangovers. For a complete list of symptoms and matching sprays visit www.sprayology.com/pages/symptom-rx/.

Elie Saab Haute Couture revealed in Paris, Fall/Winter collection 2012-2013

IN CONSTANTINOPLE’S WAKE

As if lifted from a palace along the banks of the Bosporus, Ottoman motifs subtly infuse the collection with imperial splendor.

Like so many precious jewels, evanescent dresses with trains emerge in a palette of champagne to smoky gray, interspersed with soft pink, peacock or sky blue, antiqued gold and jade.

The silhouettes are opulent, set like iridescent jewels with guipure and lace, embroidery and gilded petals. A shower of facetted stones forms constellations, encircling the wrist, sitting over the heart like a brooch or tracing precious rivulets; lace and embroidery follows in their wake to enhance a slim waist or a bare back.

Ethereal, ample volumes in silk organza with swathes of gold find a counterpoint in raw lace edges on sleeves and skirts; tulle, guipure and lace create layers of transparency.

The bridal gown appears like a jewel in the crown, in organza embossed with gold brocade leaves shimmering with silver reflections.

The ultimate guide on how to apply false lashes.

Article by Tiffany Kirkland

It’s the newest rave! False lashes. Everyone is wearing them. Your favorite celebs, models, and even girls next door are trading in the natural look for a bold baby-doll look. However, there are many misconceptions about false lashes.  Most people think that you can only wear them if you are going out for a special event. This is definitely not the case as there are hundreds of styles that are suitable for any event. Whether you are aiming for a subtle look or a bold, seductive look, there’s the perfect lash out there for you.

Another common misconception is that they are extremely difficult to apply. Not only to the packs come with adhesive and applicators, but also brief and easy to read instructions so there is no confusion. Depending on your level of creativeness, one can purchase either “strip” lashes or “individuals”. Strip lashes simply mean that the hairs on the lash are all attached onto one strip and ready to use. Individual lashes refer to each individual application of the lash onto the eye. Individual lashes do become tricky as at times it is difficult to accurately align each hair follicle into a natural looking line. For that reason it is often recommended to just apply strip lashes.

Perhaps the best part of it all is the pricepoint. Most of these lashes can be purchased at your local beauty retail store. ULTA, MAC, Sephora, and Benefit are just some of the stores where these lashes can be purchased. Prices can range from $4.99- $20.00.

So whether you are looking to spruce up an outift or just change up you everyday look, falsies are the way to go! Bat those lashes girls!

Happily Ever After Isn't always a Fairytale: Sarah Hyland Kidney transplant success story

 Article by Claudia May

Who ever told you life was perfect was lying.

Just because life isn’t perfect doesn’t mean life can’t still be amazing, remember that saying, “There’s always a silver lining”. Sarah Hyland knows all about that silver lining thanks to her triumphant journey through living life with “Kidney Dysplasia”. Kidney Dysplasia is when one or both of the kidneys do not develop regularly during the fetal period during a pregnancy. Everyone knows this adolescent playing twenty-one year old starlet from ABC’s, Modern Family who’s been acting since the age of seven. Even when diagnosed with the abnormal kidney development at the age of nine Hyland continued on with her dreams, hopes, and love for acting.

Who knew that the girl who had to go to sleep for twelve hours just to feel like she had seven hours of regular sleep, would now be living a crazy “Hollywood Actress” lifestyle. Despite having to start her early childhood and upward teenage years in pain Hyland found ways to not let her sickness interfere with her dreams.Hyland stated on an interview with ABC, “You know, if you’re sick, you still go to work. And in between takes, you sit down, or you lay your head down or something,” which only showed her fans how strong of a human being she is. Although it was clear and evident that Hyland was accustomed to the pain that came with her Kidney Dysplasia in April of this year it came to a point where the pain was unbearable, which lead to her undergoing kidney transplant surgery.

With the surgery, Hyland gained a new perspective of life and love especially from her father who donated his kidney to her. Being that she proved to be a huge inspiration to her fans George Lopez made Hyland an honorary youth ambassador for his “Lopez Foundation”. The foundation spreads awareness for organ donations and kidney disease. Hyland didn’t let a birth abnormality stop her from accomplishing everything that she ever wanted for herself, nor has she ever used it as an excuse to get one up in life. All she’s learned is to embrace life and to keep family close and find friends that are going to be there when it’s all glitz and glam as well as life’s ugly side, and she advises fans to do the same.

Going on a Tropical Vacation? Don’t forget these Top 5 Beauty Essentials:

Article by BWTV Reporter: Jessica Morrobel

Last minute packing, hassling through your products – What to take? What not to take? What’s TSA approved? These questions run through our mind as we prepare to jet off on a vacation.

I recently did some last-minute packing before heading off the Dominican Republic, where I felt that I would of had to take all of my moisturizers due to the ever-drying heat, along with my beauty products to primp up every night, but with the help of my very organized mother, I was able to choose what was best to take and what was best to leave.

If you feel the way I did, no need to worry about packing all of your essentials – with the following top five secret weapons in your luggage, you’ll be ready to enter vacation mode no time:

1.) The most important piece of beauty product you can ever take with you on board is a über-hydrating facial cream to lock in every bit of moisture, especially when you’re traveling to a hot island. Clinique’s Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator ($36) is a rich, oil-free cream gel that will instantly rehydrate and comfortably repair your skin – this product is much-needed after a long day at the beach.

2.) Brush that overnight, (possibly) hungover funky smell, and start your day off with a fresh mouth and pearly whites. GoSmile Jet Set Kit ($12) is the perfect portable travel kit that you can take with you wherever you go! Plus, it’s TSA approved.

3.) Besides the wonderful smell that these products withhold, Fekkai’s Brilliant Glossing Travel Faves Kit ($43) is a lifesaver, literally! This all in one traveling hair kit has a shampoo, conditioner, glossing cream, hairspray, and a mini comb – need I say more?

4.) We all want to look good on vacation, so why take your entire makeup bag, when you can grab the Wanderlust Desert Collection by Bare Escentuals ($49) where you’ll have a mimi primer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush/all-over face color, lipgloss, and a mascara along with the small travel bag – total steal  if you ask me and a it the colors are great for every skin shade.

5.) Hitting the beach? Don’t forget your sunblock! With Neutrogena’s Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunblock SPF 45 ($8.49) you’ll be ready to go out in the sun without having to worry about reapplying every time you get out of the water because this sunscreen is not only waterproof, but sweatproof as well.

Inspring strong and sexy "Britney Spears"

Five years ago, her children were taken away from her, going through divorce, Kevin drama, shaving her head, attacking paparazzi, driving with baby on lap, in rehab, and that vma performance! Brittany gained child custody back, recently had an album number one on billboard, a judge on x factor, smarter, looking sexier and engaged to manager Jason Trawick.

The album "Femme Fatale"  sends a message to young woman. The definition of  femme fatale is a strong woman who can be in the lowest point in her life, and then be in the highest point in her life with a comeback.  Britney a BWTV inspring strong woman.

But despite her teen idol past, Britney is hotter and better than ever.  This past Wednesday she attended the Ex factor season two auditions in Providence, Rhode Island.  Brittany wore a red Herve Leger bandage dress, yet glamorous makeup job: clean, smoky eyes and a pretty pink lip.

Evolve with Evolution Man Polish!!

By: Jessica Morrobel

Dressing everyone from Amber Rose to Vivica Fox, fashion designer and celebrity stylist Indashio has collaborated with EvolutionMan to create a new nail polish targeted specifically at men. David Beckham and Johnny Depp are a few of the male celebrities who have been spotted wearing the male nail polish. Available in one “masculine” color (Indashio), the nail lacquer has been developed by EvolutionMan.

Wearing nail polish may be a way to express yourself, but will men outside of the fashion world rock the new Indashio black? Indashio spoke to me about the new direction he’s taking, his decision to collaborate with EvolutionMan, and his upcoming show, “Design Genius”.

Jessica Morrobel: Tell me about this male nail polish line.

Indashio: I’ve been wearing nail polish for two years now, so I thought I need to do nail polish, or “nail paint” as we call it for guys. I teamed up with EvolutionMan, which has amazing product line for men. They were like Indashio, ‘We want to give you your own color, what color would you want to do?’ I thought I wanted to do green because it’s my favorite color, but then I said I no, I want to do black, because black goes with everything - it’s so rockstar and that’s what guys are really going to wear. Being the trendsetter that I am, I’ve been putting nail polish on football players and these guys that you would never think would wear it.

JM: What guys have you been putting nail polish on?

I: We got Plaxico Burress from the New York Jets, we got James Dockery from the Cleveland Browns, we got Russell Brand, Steven Tyler, Adam Lambert, all these cool rockstars, male rockstars are wearing this new nail polish - it’s super cool.

JM: Let’s be a little more realistic here: how many men outside of the fashion world do you think will wear black nail polish?

I: That’s a really good question. I guess we’ll have to wait and find out - I start the trend, you can lead a horse to water, you cannot make them drink, so will they drink this black bottle of nail polish, I have no idea. But I hope that they do. I’m really excited about it; it’s just a really great time.

JM: You have a new show coming up, tell me more about that.

I: I got a new TV show coming out called, “Design Genius”. It’s airing on Fashion One this fall. I’m the host of this show and what’s so cool about this show that makes it different from any other fashion show on television is that it’s about making the unimaginable fashionable. We have designers from all over the world, and if you think I was crazy - wait till you meet these characters on this show. Basically, it’s about finding the next design genius. We’re asking these designers to make the unimaginable fashionable. For the first episode they have to make a whole wardrobe outfit out of things found in a hospital.

JM: That’s insane! What can they make out of hospital utensils?

I: The things that they made out of IV bags, rubber gloves, and band-aids - I’m telling you, you'll just have to tune in to find out. It’s just such a cool show, what’s interesting is for me to go from a contestant on a reality show to be the host on one. It was really hard for me to be judging because I’m an artist myself, so I respect all different forms of art. It was really hard for me to judge this show, but it was one of the most amazing experiences. I’m so excited to find the next design genius. And I’m excited to show the world to think outside the box with fashion and everything. You can really make anything fashionable. It’s not what you wear; it’s how you wear it.

JM: Is there anything else you want your fans to know?

I: For all of your viewers out there, I just want them to know that anything is possible with god and when you believe and just believe in yourself with positive energy.

JM: Do you think you’re going to introduce a new nail polish anytime soon?

I: I will definitely be coming out with a whole line of nail polish. This is just the first of many, and then my new nail polish line will be for the ladies, in addition to the men. I just wanted to do something cool, something fun. I’m the only one who can really do something like this, so this is why I’m doing this.

For now, men who are more in touch with their feminine side - but not 100% ready to commit to woman nail polish brands - will have to make do with this new
mannish nail polish by Indashio.

On Wednesday, June 20th, Grammy Award-winning artisit LL Cool J and Sony Entertainment debuted the latest Future Sounds creation, My Connect Studio. The package featured especially for the VAIO E 14P laptop offers exclusive sounds for today’s modern artist.

Beginning at 4 p.m, Sony headquarters in Midtown held a press conference featuring the star himself . During the conference LL Cool J explained the main purpose of the software. The artist explained that the software will actually help musicians become more interactive and allows them to record in a variety of methods. “Whether they want to record at home or bring the laptop with them inside the studio, it’s the artist’s decision”.

Tory Burch Summer Bag Must-haves:

Article by: Shantoel Mcleod

It’s undeniable that Tory Burch's ubiquitous signature “T” logo and beautifully produced, yet not overly-pricy collection has made her a household name. Burch’s summer collection filled with totes, hobos and messengers in candy-coated colors and monochrome patterns exudes versatility and style. Fashionitas alike will love these retro-chic designs.
Here are some of my faves:

Dash Backpack, $375
In golden yellow and tomato shade, this vintage-inspired backpack is easy-to-go, water-resistant and can be worn in numerous ways.

Roslyn Satchel, $395
In pink-multi and partisan-blue-multi, not only perfect in size but this logo-filled satchel is gorgeous and practical.

Maisey Shopper, $495
The not-so-basic classic is roomy enough to hold all we need for a perfect beach day, but stylish enough to wear every day.

Designer Profile: Farai Simoyi

Article by: Simona M Gucciardi

From Zimbabwe to London, across the ocean to the campus of West Virginia University and onto the streets of New York City, Farai Simoyi has accumulated a wealth of cultural experiences that influence her up-and-coming women’s contemporary line “FARAI”. Her latest collection entitled “Desert Oasis” is a representation of her well-cultured up-bringing—touching upon softness, steel and bohemian—such characteristics easily seen in such landscapes.

Her first taste of the fashion world started at the age of 5 while getting a first-hand look at designing from her aunt’s lingerie company in Harare, Zimbabwe. She was given scraps of fabric to play with and would sew together clothes for her dolls. Thus her journey began and grew as she studied Fashion Design at West Virginia University. With an appetite for cultural impacts, Simoyi went on to study abroad in Milan, Italy at the Nuovo Academia Belle di Arte. In 2005, she began designing professionally and furthered her career by launching her own brand in 2010.

Farai Simoyi is greatly inspired by her upbringing in Zimbabwe, London, and West Virginia. Currently located in New York City, Simoyi names these cultural experiences a “fusion” that intertwines greatly with her Bohemian luxury design aesthetic. Her past collection Madame Rouge was a moment of “sultriness and seductiveness” while her current collection “Desert Oasis” is born from a lighter, more romantic mood with tribal influences.

As an intelligent and strong-minded woman herself, Simoyi aims to design for women with similar characteristics. One who is “strong in her choices and decisions” who leads life as a leader and not a follower.

When asked what’s next for her, Farai Simoyi says she’s working to get her current collection into stores and beginning a production line in Zimbabwe.

“I would like to see the brand become a household name, especially in Zimbabwe”.

Farai Simoyi will be showcasing her Fall 2012 collection at Africa Fashion Week New York on July 13th.

For more of Farai Simoyi's work please visit her website here: www.faraisimoyi.com/
